Cowboy Preacher Greg Hunt returns to the Faithful Warriors Podcast with DeWayne to share what happened during an incredible twenty day ministry journey filled with rodeo Bible camps, Native American communities, unexpected obstacles, answered prayers, and moments Greg can only describe as the hand of God.
This year’s journey carried special meaning as Greg’s wife joined him for the first time in seventeen years. Together, they traveled into communities including the Crow Reservation in Montana, bringing the Gospel through Cowboy Life Ministry and creating opportunities to reach children and families through rodeo Bible camps.
But getting there was only the beginning.
Greg shares what happened when they arrived at one camp expecting an arena and instead found knee high grass with no dirt ready for the event. With 65 children coming and time running out, they prayed and trusted God with what they could not fix themselves. Hours before the camp began, trucks started arriving with the materials they needed.
And that wasn’t the only moment that left them standing in awe.
Greg recounts praying over donated logs and later finding them delivered exactly where they had prayed for them to be. He also shares the unforgettable testimony of Juliet Rose, a young woman who stood before the crowd and told a story marked by tremendous hardship, faith, and redemption. As she spoke and sang, the weather unfolding around them created a moment Greg and those gathered there will not soon forget.
This episode isn’t about coincidence or having everything go according to plan. It’s about obedience, trusting God when you cannot see how something is going to work, and recognizing the moments when His provision becomes impossible to ignore.
Sometimes faith means taking the next step before you know how God is going to provide the rest.

SPEAKER_01I'm good, man. How are you doing, bro? Man, I'm blessed.
SPEAKER_00Blessing, highly favored, man. I tell you, uh, man, I'm glad to hear you're doing good. But man, the episode we did earlier, man, we talked about cowboy life ministry, and uh man, it just took off, man. There was a lot of a lot of interest in it, a lot of downloads, and uh we we talked about the ministry and going to out there in the world and to places that uh are in the darkness, man, to go share the gospel and win people to salvation. And you do that in Montana, and you do that on the Indian Indian reservations, man. And uh how many days were you out there?
SPEAKER_01Twenty days.
SPEAKER_00Twenty days, y'all. Twenty days. So I wanted to bring him back. Uh he just got back a couple weeks ago from his ministry trip. And uh I I just wanted him to share. He shared a little bit with me of what God what God did and showed out, and uh absolutely amazing. So I I just wanted to invite him back on, man, and uh just let him let him just share what what happened on that trip, man. So Greg, it's all yours, brother.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, man, we had a great trip. I mean, it was just uh uh you know that there's a lot of preparation goes into one of those camps those weeks, you know, just getting ready and then to be uh you know, good on the road for 20 days away from your house and you know, all the things. But you know, um you know, one thing I do do know that when God calls you to go do something, he'll he'll take care of everything that you leave behind and and provide a way to get you there. And uh it was pretty cool just to see God provide a way for so many to come. We we probably put, I don't know, um we had three different camps. We worked with the Cowboy Church of Leon County at in uh uh KC, Wyoming, did a good job there and had a my wife got to go move with me this year. That was a blessing.
SPEAKER_00Oh, amen.
SPEAKER_01So um this first year in 17 years she's been able to go. Um, but uh that was a a neat, neat experience to be able to go do this with her. Um and we just we went up there and we what we do is we set up rodeo bible camps um and and draw the kids in and we go to we don't just go to Indian reservation, we go to different places and um wherever they'll wherever we set these camps up and we plan ahead and get get arenas ready and get teams ready and you know do all the things that have to do the legwork to get it done. And then we just trust God and go and uh he shows up and shows out. And so we had several uh come to their their first camp in Casey, Wyoming, and then we moved on to uh Huntley, Montana. Uh did a went went up there with uh Dennis Tryant and Travis Tryant and Tim Millet from Billy and Cowboy Church and Mark Back from Valley Baptist Cowboy Church Valley B Valley uh Baptist Church there in in Huntley. And uh we just set up an arena right across the street from uh Blue Cat Bar. And uh and then we just we just shared uh we had about 35 kids show up, bring the horses, and then uh show up and we had uh two days worth of camps. Yeah. Um and then we had a rodeo on the third day. Um and uh really had a good turnout, had a great, great uh we give away a bunch of Bibles, we give away a bunch of ropes and uh gifts, we give buckles to all the kids, and uh so you know the logistics of all that, and you know, it it worked good, and then we moved from there and we moved to the Crow Reservation in Wyola, Montana, and set up there. And uh man, we had 65 kids show up and and uh and uh we just it was a there was a lot went on to get to that to that uh when we first showed up at that camp, God just started working. So years ago, uh I say a year ago, we the the Indian reservation had been donated a bunch of logs from the Forest Society. And so we drove up in the mountains and they showed us this stack of logs. It was probably I don't know, I don't I can't even tell you how many logs, but they had a big fire, so they cut they logged it and they stacked all them logs up there in the mountains. And uh so the the one of the tribal leaders asked us to go pray over them logs that we could get them down that down the mountain. And and I mean I'm talking about there's no they don't own trucks, they don't own anything, they just need them in the forestry service that they donated to it if they can get them down the mountain.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01And uh so we just prayed. We just we laid hands on logs. Uh so we pull pull in to Wyola first day, and and there's a stack of logs right down there where we prayed for them to be.
SPEAKER_00Really?
SPEAKER_01And and it's like, you know, here's already an answered prayer from the year before. Uh, and just it's just amazing. They're gonna use them for helping build stuff, and you know, just they're gonna try to get a sawmill up there and try to get saw, you know, mill them logs, but and we just to get them down the mountain, an hour and a half down the mountain, and set on that reservation was just it's God moves mountains and logs. So yeah, uh yes, he will. Yes, he will. He moved logs down the mountain. And so it's it was a cool deal to see that. And and one of the guys that went with us uh saw that that that uh cool deal happen, and we shared a story, and and he had been praying all the way down there. He didn't even know why he was supposed to go, but he came. Well, he told, he said, he he said, Man, I just I just recognize that God is bigger than me, and I need I need to rededicate my life to him and start changing my life. And so one of the missionaries that came rededicated his life, and that started revival in that camp, and it just it didn't stop there. It was started with the answered prayer, seeing God move from the prayers we did last year to to right there on right in front of them logs, a young man rededicated his life right there. And then him telling that story and him telling, you know, the trials that we got that had to go through to get ready for that camp was overwhelming. I can I I could sit here all day and tell you the struggles that when we got there. The grass was knee high, there was no dirt in the arena, nothing. The trucks that were supposed to be bringing the dirt last week didn't show up, so I had to rent a skid steer. Uh, get it and didn't try to get the the truck. And I'm I mean, I got a camp with 65 kids coming, and my arena is not even ready. There's no dirt in the arena that it's hard pan. And I'm thinking, how am I gonna do this camp? And that's Monday. Camp starts Wednesday. Uh-oh. Well, I get one truck roll in on Monday, and he tells me he can't he can't bring the rest of the dirt. And I said, No, you got you gotta be kidding me. You got I gotta have the dirt. And so we just prayed and got mad. I'm gonna be honest, we got angry. But I just I kept it to myself, and but I thought, man, you know, here we are all the way up here trying to put this on. And but God's ways are not our ways, and that's what I've learned. I learned that this year, you know, it and and so um next thing you know, we had trucks rolling in, rolling in, putting in dirt and spreading dirt, and we had by the end of the week, we had a full arena. I mean, it was just it was just God showing up and showing out, and uh everything worked out like it's supposed to. And then um we had a young lady who came and gave her testimony, and yeah, um that was a powerful testimony. Uh, she had been through a lot. I won't mention her name, but she's she was very, very uh so she she sang at one of our camps in the in in Huntley, and I invited her to come do uh the worship music at at this new camp, at this Wyola camp. And and so she'd been saved about a year, and she had been in Hollywood and and uh gone through a lot of things, and her her her parents had uh you know used her to traffic her, and and I mean it was just a horrible situation. But anyway, she was telling her testimony in the darkness of her. So we we one night we we sit down uh underneath the shade tree by the chuck wagon by the campfire, and we're all hanging out, and she's singing and giving her testimony, and and uh as she's telling the dark side of her testimony. I mean, it it's it it done got pretty warm that year, that this year. It was kind of hot up there, and sun was out the whole time. Wasn't no cloud cover, it wasn't nothing. Well, when she started telling her testimony, there was a dark cloud that came, stood, just h hovered over the top of us. And like, I mean, it was like we was thinking, okay, it's gonna rain. The wind started blowing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it was just and that shade tree that we were under, it was a big old tree. There's about 150 people out there in lawn chairs and everything. Right. And she's sitting up there telling testimony, and then and and it's just like you you're not recognizing what's going on. This is me telling it afterwards.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But you know, uh, but then you as soon as she starts talking about the tears, she talked about the the struggles, and well, there's I'm talking about raindrops, big as big as your finger come out of the sky and just drop on top of us, and just not it didn't not enough to get us wet, just just drops coming out of the sky. And uh and I'm thinking, man, what's going on here? And then and then and then she begins to tell the story of how you know she found God and God draw her, brought her out of that. And and it was like a ray of sunlight come through the trees and shined on her like a spotlight, and that dark cloud just went away. And it was like, holy cow! And then I mean you couldn't you could not not see what God was doing right there. He was he was he was showing his glory and showing him, and and just he he was walking through that testimony and and and telling that testimony with with with his hands. And and then she says, and she's fixing to sing a song to end the testimony, and she said, you know, there's it'd be interesting, and I've I've if there was a rainbow showed up, and as soon as she said that, everybody looked up and there was a rainbow standing uh in the sky right behind her.
unknownPraise God.
SPEAKER_01And I it's like chills go all over you, and it's like wow, the movement of God just went just. Um so you know, uh it was just powerful. I mean, it was one of the most powerful things I've ever been experiencing. I exp I experienced God, you know, there's a lot of times God says, you can see me in in the rain, you can see me in the wind, you can see yeah, he showed us himself in all those, and he controls all of it when he wants to control it, as he wants to control it, and and and and it's that I it it just gave me a sense that God's listening, God's paying attention, God's knowing what we're doing, God's ever everywhere at all times, and he loves his children. And and and and he wants to show himself and reveal himself. And if we'll just listen and watch, you know, a lot of people could have gone through that whole deal, never really seen God in it. And just, but man, there there's no denying. We got it on video, it's just unreal. Just just and then she looks back as she says, Oh my gosh, there's a rainbow, you know, and then it's just like um, and you know, and and the rainbow, uh, it's been distorted all through the years, but the rainbow is God's promise, and that's that's what we've got to hang on to, is the promises of God. And and uh so that that kind of was the uh crazy moment in the camp where God just showed up, showed out.
SPEAKER_00Let me ask this real quick. So, how many people had this encounter? Because that was an encounter with God showing yeah.
SPEAKER_01How many people it was probably 150 to 175 people. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord. Yeah, and and and it couldn't, and and every one of them re encountered it. It changed everybody, I promise you. Uh when you when you walk with God like that, you I mean when you see God move like that, you can't can't deny it. And uh, you know, and then and it was just like, and I've always like I said before, is is God's everywhere, but he's he's also gonna reveal himself where he's gonna be glorified. You know, yeah. And and he was being glorified that day. He it the life of a child that was I mean, I can't tell you the horrible things this testimony was about of a child being taken advantage of and used by their grandparents and parents, and it was in the, you know, it was just it was a horrible story. I mean, yeah, and and just a precious child of God being used by Satan's and then God just snatches her out of there and and she's she travels around and does a lot of ministry work and she's a powerful uh she's she's actually gonna come down here and do some do some ministry work. So we're excited for her to tell. Yeah, see her story. But her name is Juliet Rose. I I don't care if anybody here, but Juliet Rose is who she is. Anyway, it was a powerful testimony.
SPEAKER_00Man, so man, yeah, that's uh that's something else for for that many people to encounter that and see that take place. I mean, that's no denying you can't call that a coincidence.
SPEAKER_01No, yeah, yeah, that was just a God moment and burning bush moment type diff. You can't leave the same.
SPEAKER_00That's right, that's right. So uh any other big things that happened?
SPEAKER_01Um well there were 26 big things that happened. Come on. Yeah, we had 26 salvations and 26 baptisms. It was just a powerful moment, praise the Lord. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, and we we baptized them in a little big horn river down there, and it was cold. I think my right pinky toe still crawls.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's amazing. That's amazing, man. So uh you listed uh you started talking about you know the the cowboy church of Leon County and then another uh ministry. I want to talk a second about community. Community trying to make this stuff happen. And uh as you can tell, it it took different organizations to come together to make this happen. Why is community so so important?
SPEAKER_01Well, uh if you'll just listen, if you unity is the biggest part of community. Yeah, um and it and and God is a God of unity, God is a God of using his church. We're all one church, and so um, you know, I I I bring a lot of different churches, a different I like we took a church from different from just a traditional church to a cowboy church to just a country church or whatever, you know, and and we all came together as God's children, and and and and and our one focus was the good news of of the gospel. And uh uh we can have differences of of venues, we can have differences of, but it if it's we're all part of God's the body of Christ, and and he works within the body, and uh uh you know it so that he gets glory, not us. And so uh if you if you're looking for glory, you're not gonna want to be in a community. You're gonna be want to be, you're gonna want to so, but if you're looking to share in his glory and and and glorify him, then you'll work, and that's the way God works, is that he begins to mold us and make us into what he's called us to do. And and if you'll go in Ephesians, it talks about how how you know we all each have a part to do, and no one part's better than the other. And so uh when you're working with a community, everybody has their own gifts and talents and and and and perspectives, and and that's how God works to to bring about the his kingdom work done, and uh he uses all of us, and we all have a part in that. And so when you're when you're out there Lone Ranger in it, and you're trying to say, well, me and God got this thing figured out, man, you're missing the whole point of of being a part of the body. I mean, I need you, you need me, and we all need each other. And so uh we're just a part of the body that that makes a whole uh and Christ is ahead of it. And so to me, that's that's just kind of the the part of community that that drives me is to connect people, and uh, you know, that's what I try to drive up there in in in in the culture, the Indian culture, and they're big in in their culture, and they're big in but God created them that way. I'm not trying to take their culture away from them, I'm just trying to give them Jesus, and then Jesus can fix the inside of it. And it doesn't change who they are, it changes whose they are, you know. Yeah, let their identity be in Christ. And that's another part of community, is you if you're identifying with the body of Christ, that's your identity. You're not you're not out there looking, this is Greg's deal, this is Dwayne's deal, this is God's deal. And we're we're a part of God's community.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Amen. Hey, also um you were discussing um about the the the young man or the man that came and rededicated himself.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Now he was part of this mission team.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I have I know a couple of people that's asked me here recently, they talk about wanting to get into sharing the gospel, but they don't feel qualified or you know, or what should I do, or how do I approach it? What do you tell people like that? Because even in the mission field, you don't have to be perfect, just like that guy, he came and he was actually touched by it. So what kind of suggestions uh that you can give these guys?
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, the the biggest thing is if you if you know Christ, you have you have it's not I who live, it's him who he who lives in me. And and so it it we gotta seek Christ, and then at some point in our life, he he sends us out to go uh to share what we've experienced in our life. You don't have to have a grand knowledge of the Bible, you don't have to have all this the the that's the religious people trying to tell somebody that they're good enough and they know enough to get to heaven. The man on the cross next to Jesus, when he gets to heaven, they're gonna ask him what he what he how'd he get here. He said, I don't know. That man on the cross told me I could get here, and that's that's all, you know. And he let me in. And so um, you know, the good news is easy to share if you if you receive the good news. Um, it's hard. It's like when you realize how much God has done for you and where He's where you've come from and where He's gotten you from, man, it ain't much better story than that. This is who I used to be. Then I found Christ, and this is. This is where I am now. Uh, you don't have to be teaching them a bunch of Bible verses because they ain't gonna listen to that anyway. They're gonna see you and they're gonna see your heart and they're gonna see your authenticity, and they're gonna say, you know, there's something different about that guy. And uh it's not us that does any of the work, so quit trying to do the work, just let God work through you.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Amen. That's what I was telling them to mean. Just do it because just like that uh the rose, the the lady that song, and it was sharing her testimony. There it is, right there. All you have to do is share your testimony. Oh man, it's you know, God used it as an encounter for over 150 people. Just share that testimony, man. That's what you need to do. Share what God's done in your life, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then and then and then it just a ripple effect as God just begins to share, and you know, and just that guy, you know, rededicating his life. I mean, he was he he knew he wanted to come. Uh he just had a calling or felt like the Lord called, he was obedient, and then once he was obedient, God he thought he was coming to share, but we're all on a journey, and so allow God to take you on that journey and follow him. That's what he says, follow him. And if he's working, go get behind him and follow him. And sometimes we just try to make our own way, and and God says, No, come follow me, I'll make you fishers of men. Yes, yes, and so that's really the key. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and you'll he'll lead you into those places to share the good news.
SPEAKER_00Yes, he will. Yes, he will, brother.
SPEAKER_01And Moses couldn't even speak, so he sent air. You know?
SPEAKER_00Yep.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it ain't but there's been times where I've had guys show up and uh and they about second day they're there, man. I don't even know why I'm here. And and then I said, Man, just just stay the course.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Just connect, connect, just try to just seek God. Well, that that same person is the one that was there to reach the one of those guys that was there. I mean, he he he got at the end of the week, he comes back to me and says, Now I know why I'm here. God allowed me to share the gospel with this person. And my way, my way, it just the the God just opened the door. And so um just seek God, man. God's God's God's bigger than we are, and yeah, just let go and let God.
SPEAKER_00If we just open our eyes a little bit more, clear our minds to it, man. We could see it, can't we?
SPEAKER_01I mean, it's all around us. It's it's it's wide open. I mean, the harvest is plentiful, the workers are few.
SPEAKER_00Yep, absolutely, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01And that's what what I tell people. I said, Look, I said, what are what are we gonna do when we get up here? I said, Well, you're gonna love God, and you're gonna love people. If you do those two things, the rest of it will work itself up. And it will, and it did, and it did, and it will, it was right, yeah. Powerful moments.
SPEAKER_00So I'm gonna ask you one more question here because I think this is big, and and a lot of guys um struggle with this uh on a on sometimes a daily basis. But what is a day in the life of the cowboy preacher walking in obedience look like?
SPEAKER_01Um well I I can tell you over the years it's it's it's changed because you gotta be led by the Spirit. And um and I fall short. But but but but but the grace of God. And um but one of the things that I I really really has changed my life in in the way I I I see things is is I started getting up in the mornings and uh I used to get up and read my Bible and go through this and go through that, go through the motions of doing doing my daily daily readings or daily, you know, prayers or whatever you wanna call it. And man, it was a duty. Yeah. I mean it's g it got to be a you know, I gotta read my Bible, I gotta do this, gotta do that, gotta do this. And then I I spent for some reason God just shook me and said, Look, I don't really care how much you read. I just want you to get up and spend time with me. And so when I got up in the morning rather than it was in I was excited to go to bed so that I could be excited, I was excited to get up so that I could spend time with my God and build that relationship. Yes, it changed everything when I started seeking God instead of doing things for God. And so I just got to where he just wants a relationship with me. Yes, I can't do anything. I'm sorry, I'm the worst sinner there is. But God, his it's I who live. It's not I who live, it's Christ who lives in me. And so uh abide in Christ, abide in him, build that relationship, build that, you know. I heard somebody the other day, and I don't know where it was, he says, I'm gonna take 30 days to build my relationship. And if you're in a relationship with somebody, you're not gonna cheat on them by you're gonna you're gonna spend time with them. You're not gonna, you know, everything you do, I mean, you it's a love relationship with Christ. What are you, what are you, what is getting in the way of that relationship? What is what are you seeking? Are you seeking just to have that relationship to get something from him? Are you truly seeking him for who he is instead of seeking him for what he can give you? And most of us, I included, would get up and make sure I say my prayers so that I could have a blessed day, so that I could have a successful day, so that I can make money that day, so I could make sure my horse didn't get crippled, or you know, all do good at this roping, or you know, uh all these things I I needed, I prayed God, can give me this, give me that, give me that, give me the gimme, give me, give me. Help me, bless me, bless me. When when God became enough, it's all I need. So that's that's truly what what drives me is because what happens is the Holy Spirit produces the fruit. Not me, not anybody, not not not anybody that went on that reservation. The Holy Spirit produces fruit. And and if I'm not seeking God and connected and being led by the Holy Spirit, then there's no fruit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yep. So that's the day in the life, right there, buddy. Stay in the life, seeking God. Seek God. What are you inviting me into? He wants to be.
SPEAKER_01Here's the verse, Joshua 1 9 says, be strong and courageous. It says, Have I not commanded you? It's not a it's not a suggestion. This is a command from God. Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. So, I mean, I want to be strong because God told me. I want to be courageous because God commanded me. I want to I I don't want to be afraid. I don't want to be discouraged. And men today are are are Satan's biggest tool is discouragement. But he says, Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. Why? Because the Lord is always with you.
SPEAKER_00That's right. That's right.
SPEAKER_01So that's the day in life, just following Jesus.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. It sure is, brother. It sure is. Man. Well, uh, tell us, uh, tell all the listeners out here, because uh, I think it's truly important what you do, and it's cowboy life ministries. How can somebody that wants to, if somebody lays it on their heart, they want to donate and help out at the ministry, how can they get in touch with you?
SPEAKER_01Well, Cowboy Life Ministry is is uh a nonprofit organization that we we sh we uh our goal is to connect with the culture and use the horse and the culture of the cowboy way and the cowboy life to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. So we have we have ways to connect with people so that we have an opportunity to have interaction with them so that we can tell them about the good news of Jesus Christ. And so we do that through camps, conferences. Uh I I travel and preach and travel and speak in different places all over. I've got several. So uh I you could have me come speak. I'm going to Montana uh in three weeks to go speak at the Wrangler at the uh the Wrangler uh team rope and finals is coming up. Nice and uh so I'll be I'll be in Montana in in the end of September, and I'm going to Muldoon, Texas. I'll be in Centerville, Texas, preaching, and I preach in uh Anderson, Navasota, Texas. I mean, there's several places, but uh we're on Facebook and uh Cowboy Life Ministry and connect with me there. And um uh TikTok is Cowboy Preacher. Um but uh just get get in touch with me somehow and we can get you uh get you, you know. We won't we we we are strictly uh uh funded by God, whatever he wants to do. We don't have big donors, we don't have we just show up and do what God says and he provides. And so uh we'd like to do more camps, we'd like to do more conferences, we'd like to do more different uh mint. We do a man up conference a couple of months ago. We did a big conference in in uh for Shepherd's Light down here, and uh so we we just try to create opportunities to spread the gospel. Uh we do a round pin ministry if we want to bring a horse to the round pin uh and and do it do a message in the round pen with the horse, we can do that. Um all the ways you can, you know, just any way we just get creative with the cowboy way. That's right, right and and just use it to connect with a lot of people.
SPEAKER_00And I'm telling you, listeners, if if you are looking for a different avenue to approach to share the gospel, this reach out to the Cowboy Life Ministry and Greg. I have got to see it firsthand. He hosted us down there at Shepherd's Life Foundation down in uh close to Houston, down in Centerville, Texas, back in March. And and we got to witness this. We got to experience it. We got to experience the round pen. And let me just tell you, it's it's moving, it's very moving. So if that's something that you're interested in, reach out to him. I'm telling you, it it's it's an experience. So appreciate you sharing that, Greg.
SPEAKER_01You bet, man. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and uh man, uh I got one last question uh before we end out today, unless you got something else you want to add in. But for a young Christian man who's been out there who's new to Christ, and uh he's been trying to walk in obedience, and he's getting a little frustrated by not just seeing some of what God's doing. You know how the young on milk. What kind of encouragement can you give him today?
SPEAKER_01Man, I call it the get in a truck theory. You know, um and and I I'm gonna say this there's two seats in a in a pickup truck. And they all and both of them need to be filled. One that drives and one that opens the gate. The man driving has a lot of wisdom and knowledge that he rides around in a pickup truck by himself a lot of times. And then there's a bunch of young men that are driving and don't know what the heck they're doing. And they need to get in a passenger seat and listen. I'd encourage you to get in a truck, sit on the porch, listen. I encourage the older men to find a younger man to mentor to spend time with. We're called to be disciples and to make disciples. Man, young men need to be discipled like Timothy. And we all need a Timothy. We all need, you know, we we just need uh I just get in the truck, learn something, walk with somebody, see what they do, act, but be be the man in the driver's seat that's that's worthy of somebody riding with you.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Amen. Good advice, brother. Good advice. You know, you got you got to have somebody there to walk with you to help you out because we're gonna stumble, we're gonna hit speed bumps. Oh, good. We're gonna do it, brother. We're gonna do it.
SPEAKER_01I pick up strays all the time. That's right.
SPEAKER_00It does.
SPEAKER_01You know, and I just I got guys that that I've been mentoring through years, and and uh my my daughter said, Well, you picked up another stray, didn't you, Daddy? And and and I just you know, they just get in a truck with me. Yeah and I spend a lot of time with them in the truck, teaching them, learning, helping them. Because I got I I spent a lot of time in the truck with a lot of fellas that helped me. And I'm still I'd like to get in a truck with some other guys, you know. I'd like to learn some more out with you never stop learning.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Amen. Great advice. Well, anything else you want to add before we wrap it up this evening?
SPEAKER_01Man, we just serve a big God and don't don't don't get discouraged. Um, you know, there's men out there now that are struggling. Um, you know, don't give up. You know, um one of the passions that I have is the same as yours with your shepherd's light ministry, is is uh, you know, there's men that that that feel like they they can't do this no more, they can't go get, you know, but let me just say I've got a a brother and a and a nephew that made two hard decisions and it was final decisions. And and and there's somebody out there that loves you, and his name's Jesus. And and and I just want y'all to know that it's never too late, you've never gone too far. You can you can come back to Jesus. Yes, and he'll he'll receive you with open arms. He's waiting for all you gotta do is turn around. Turn around, and he's right there in your heart, he's right there waiting. Yes, so don't give up.
SPEAKER_00I appreciate you sharing that, Greg. You know, it's near and dear to my heart, and I know it's near and dear to yours. And uh I do appreciate you sharing that. So if you're struggling today, you're not alone. And as we close, remember this being a faithful warrior is not about being the strongest person in the room. It's not about having it all together, it's about remaining faithful to Jesus no matter what battle you face. If you're walking through a difficult season today, don't quit. Keep trusting, keep praying, keep moving forward. But God is not finished with your story. So until next time, stay faithful. Keep your eyes on Christ, and remember the battle is real, but so is the God who walks with you through it. We'll see you on the next episode of Faithful Warriors.
