What happens when God asks you to go somewhere you never wanted to be?
In this powerful episode of the Faithful Warriors Podcast, DeWayne Brown sits down with John "John John" Eubanks of Canton, Georgia, to discuss a life-changing testimony of obedience, courage, and divine intervention.
On April 7, 2022, John reluctantly agreed to join his family on a vacation to Pensacola Beach, Florida. What he didn't know was that God was positioning him for a moment that would forever change his life.
While enjoying a day at the beach, John witnessed two children being pulled away by a dangerous rip current. Without hesitation, he ran into the water, risking his own life to save them. Battling powerful waves and exhaustion, John soon found himself fighting for survival.
In his darkest moment, he cried out to God.
What happened next can only be described as extraordinary.
This episode is a powerful reminder that obedience to God often places us exactly where we need to be, even when we don't understand why. John's testimony will challenge you to trust God's prompting, walk in courage, and recognize His hand even in life's most difficult moments.

SPEAKER_00I'm blessed and highly favored.
SPEAKER_02Come on, come on. Man, I tell you what, it is an honor to have you on the show. And I just tell you we call him John John. His name is John Newbate, so you can see it on the screen. But we call him John John and I got to meet him about four or five months ago. And what a blessing that's been ever since. God definitely had us meet for a reason, and it's just been been an amazing ride ever since, and I'm so thankful for that. So hey man, just tell us a little bit about yourself real quick.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm just born and raised in Georgia. Canton, Georgia, in between, you know, Pickens and Canton, Nelson area. Yeah. Small, small town, born and raised in the church, you know. That's how I grew up. Ventured off and yeah, just ventured off and God pulled you back.
SPEAKER_02So you one of them country mountain boys, huh? From northwest Georgia. Yes, sir. Yep. They know everything, don't they? Let's try. For sure, for sure. Well, William, um, we get ready to get started into this. I just we had been talking earlier and and when we first met, you you shared some things with me and and I have uh thought about that quite often. To be honest with you. And um when God had me start this podcast and you were when I asked him who who should be uh you know lead me to who should be on the show and and get the word out of what he wants out, you know. You you were one of the first ones that you revealed to me, man. And that that testimony that you you shared with me. And I'm so thankful that you agreed to come on here today. And listen, let me just tell you about this. This is what we want to talk about is obedience. Obedience to God. And even if you're drifting, having some obedience and people still use you in ways that not even imagine. And what ends up in this relationship. A relationship that is still blossoming and stuff that's beautiful. The fruits are still big right now. And I love seeing it. And uh, because I just need to speak last. And so this takes us back, and I don't remember what year this happened in.
SPEAKER_00You remind me real quick. 2022, April 7th.
SPEAKER_02April 7th, 2022, y'all. So it's not that long ago. And this started off, and I'm gonna let him just pick up and go with it, but I want to start at this point where his wife and kids went to Pensacola, Florida for a softball tournament.
SPEAKER_00No, it was just vacation.
SPEAKER_02Vacation, sorry, for vacation.
SPEAKER_00Yep, it was just vacation.
SPEAKER_02Just for vacation, and uh he stayed at home to work. Let's start there.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so my mother-in-law, we we take her everywhere we go when we go on vacation, you know. She's up there in age, so if she don't go with us, she doesn't go anywhere. So my wife and kids and my mother-in-law took off to Penskola the week of the seventh, and I couldn't get off work, and then my boss had come up to me on on a Wednesday afternoon and said, Hey, uh, you know, if if you can if you want to go, I'll let you go. Like you you've got some work done, take off and go. And I went home, didn't really want to go, called the wife, hung the phone up, and I woke up the next morning and I said, You know what? I'm going. So I crunk up the Camaro and I knew my little boy would love that because I was fixing to sell a Camaro I had.
SPEAKER_02So I was like, I'll just have a question right here? Yes, sir. I'm I'm gonna ask you a question here. So you didn't want to go. But then you woke up the next morning and was there a urge? Was there something now that you can look back on that was pushing you to go?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, God was pushing me to go. And it's just you know, that little still small voice. Hey, just just go on and go down there. So I loaded up. I even stopped and put tires on the car. Brand new car, but it needed I had six thousand miles on it, but yeah, it needed tires.
SPEAKER_02Different story. Different story for later, right?
SPEAKER_00Come on. Yes, sir. So uh I went to put tires on it and I left. And it's you know, four o'clock in the afternoon by the time I get off work, get tires on the car. Head down there on April the sixth. Get down there about ten o'clock at night. Knock on the door, you know. Big family reunion. So happy to see the whole family, you know. The next morning we wake up and it it was a special day, and I almost let the devil take that away from me because April 7th is my mother's birthday. And for four years I dreaded that day. But we left. My kids wanted to go to the beach and at Fort Pickens down there, you know. It's just it's beautiful. There's no there's no there's no lifeguards. And I don't know if you've been all the way back to see where they, you know, where they had set up the military had set up, you know, to control that area. Yeah, yeah. There's the bunkers and stuff back there, you know. But we stopped at the first little pull-off right there. And I told the kids, you know, hey, don't get deep in the water. There's red and yellow flags all the way down through there. There's no lifeguards. And it's April, so the water temperature is like 60, 63 degrees. So yeah, water's kind of chilly. And so my kids are out out playing in it. We called my mom, you know, total happy birthday. We're at the beach, call you later. Well, I told my kids, hey, don't get too far in the in the water. And we had a life jacket and we had like a little boogie board for them to play on. And where we was at, you know, you could go out a little bit, you know, ten, twelve feet off the shore, and it was maybe a little over your knees. And I told him, you know, don't go don't go don't go further than that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the the the red and yellow flags, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I told him, I said, Hey, don't go any further than that. I I don't want you getting up to your waist. Well, there's a older couple behind us, and they got their grandkids with them. And the little boy had asked if he could use the boogie board. Sure. You know, he was he was probably 13, 14 years old. And he had a little sister with him, and she was probably eight or nine. Well, we turn and look, and they're on the boogie board, and they're out there stuck, and they can't get in. They've got a chain. There's a you know, there's people that's grabbed together and created a human chain and tried to get out there and get to them, but they can't get to them because the waves keep pushing them back. There's two kids on a boogie board, you know, they're they're not working together because they're panicking.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Well, as soon as I see this, my wife's like, hey, John, look. And I see it, and I get up and and she knows I'm going. That's j that's just I've always been that guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's human nature and us, you know, A-type people, you know, we're we're gonna go out there and we're gonna help.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And I and I've always been that way. I've just I've just always run toward danger. Because I I I didn't look at it as danger, I looked at it as there's two helpless kids. And I'm running to the water, and my wife yells at me because she knows I'm gone. I I'm going in that water, I'm going to get them kids. And she yells at me, hey, grab the life jacket. Well, it's a kid's life jacket, so I throw it on one shoulder, and I'm head first. And I get to the kids, and the first thing I do is I put the life jacket on the little girl, and I'm holding on to her, and I push the little boy in on the boogie board. How far out are y'all right now? We're we're probably 30, 35 feet offshore.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And and for the listeners, like they you you're they're caught in a in a root current and being pulled, right?
SPEAKER_00Yes. So and and I'm I'm six feet tall. And where where we were at, I could tippy toe and I could touch the bottom, but as soon as I put my foot down, it would suck me straight out. And it and it man, I've swam in the ocean my entire life, and I have never felt anything like this. And so the little boy got in on the boogie board. I don't know what's going on on shore. I just seen them grab them, and I was holding on to the little girl, and we got hit by a wave and pulled back out. Well, I knew the only thing I could do is, hey, swim out a little bit, get away from the waves where they're not breaking. So I pull her out, and me and hers out there, and then I get the boogie board back, and I put her on the boogie board and I push her in. And then because I I got to where I could stand about chest level, and I just pushed her in. And, you know, this whole time I'm going parallel with the shore, just trying to fight the waves.
SPEAKER_02So I yeah, I want to get this straight. So you're out there tippy toeing. You done grab this boy and put him on the boogie board. You got this girl put the life jacket on her. So now you don't have to.
SPEAKER_00And I'm I'm I'm and I'm holding on to her the whole time. And you know, I can't I can't I can't touch the whole time either. The only time I can touch is when there's a knot of wave coming over my head, which is like every 10-15 seconds I get to stand up and breathe.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So you push him into this human chain they've got out there to a certain way, right? So now you're just battling it with her, and they push this boogie board back, right?
SPEAKER_00They get the boogie board back to me all right.
SPEAKER_02So you get her on there, man, and you I mean, I can only imagine that you're battling all these waves, man, and being sucked at the same time, and you push her in, and now you're sick.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so I get her in, and and as soon as I I go to push her, you know, because I pushed off the bottom and I pushed her in with a wave, because we was I was trying to time it, because I try to stay calm no matter where I'm at. And I mean, sometimes it doesn't work, but this time it did. Um and I I pushed her in and and they pulled her in. Well then as soon as I pushed her in and let go of that boogie board, I'm standing on the bottom. That wave crashes. Anybody knows that rip current's sucking me right back out. So it pulled me to the bottom and I pop back up. And I I'm I'm laying on my back and I'm swimming parallel with the shore. Because that's what you're always taught. Swim parallel with the shore until you can get out of it. And then my wife's running down the shoreline. You know, she's she don't know what's going on because at this moment I've been in the water, you know, maybe three, maybe four minutes at this time, it feels like forever.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I've got asthma and I've got an inhaler, and I didn't need it, but I told my wife to go get it because I thought I was fixing and drowned, and I didn't want her to see that. And I knew it was, you know, a ways back down the shore. I just told her to go get it, I'll be okay. I'll meet you there in a minute. And when she went to turn around and run away, the guy had brought the boogie board back down because they noticed I was still in the water, you know, and they were so happy they got those kids in, and he turned and looked and saw my wife walking down the shore, and he walked out there as far as he could, and he tried to throw it, and I just couldn't get to it. And it was like I was in a fight for my life, and then a big wave came over, and I come back up, and it was like somebody had just handed that boogie board to me, and I just got up on it and I started thinking, God, you know, I'm I'm not in this water anymore. And I went and sat up on the on the bank, and my wife brought me mader, and I just sat it down beside me. And at the moment in time I didn't know why I was there.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00I didn't know God put me there, and at that moment in time I didn't realize what had happened. I was in shock. I sat on the beach and that little boy and that little girl came up to me and told me, Thank you, and that made it worth it. But then we left because at that point my wife was like, Hey, grab the stuff, we're leaving. Right. We're we're we're leaving, let's get away from this water.
SPEAKER_02And let me ask you this real quick before you go on. How far were you away from just that was the end? That you couldn't you couldn't swim or fight anymore. How how close were you just for the listeners, just to let them know what where you were at at this point?
SPEAKER_00I I thought it was over. That's where I was at. When I went under that last time, right before I came back up, I thought it was over. And that boogie board was and that boogie board was right in front of me.
SPEAKER_01All right, so y'all know.
SPEAKER_00So we left and we drove. And you know, I don't know for the for the people that's never been to Pensacola, it's just a it's just a lone road. And it's just sand on both sides, and it's it's absolutely beautiful to to ride out through there. We went back to the room, we got ready. My kids wanted to go ride go-karts because we did have a softball tournament at the end of the week for my wife.
SPEAKER_02Gotcha.
SPEAKER_00You you you were correct. So we took my kids to ride go-karts, and you know, I've got all the pictures of it. And then, you know, that was my mom's birthday, and that that that ate me up. And then, you know, the next day we went to the softball field. I met a man and his name was Jeff Miller, and his wife, Chris, uh, they had got picked she had got his wife had got picked up on my wife's team to come play just that weekend. They weren't on the same team. They just needed somebody to come fill in, and they picked her. A team from Ohio picked up a lady from Florida, Tampa area, to play in this tournament in Pensacola. And you know, all day I I didn't really say a lot the whole day. And and the the coach knew something was wrong, but Jeff Miller didn't because he had never met me before. My buddy Sean was there and he knew something was wrong, but I just didn't want to talk about it. My wife didn't want to talk about it. And it, you know, it took a little bit for me to just say anything at all. It showed in my work. It showed, I mean, it it showed in my everyday life. And for four years I had a dream, you know, that I got pulled under and that was it. And then uh crawl daddy, my buddy Ron, he got put my life, you know, I've played ball against him for years, but he got put in my life about two years ago. We actually got to play together and we've become really close friends, and I met him in a store one day to get some steaks. And before we left, he said, Hey man, are you are you okay? And I said, I just not sleeping good, you know, and went on about my business. And then going to a softball tournament one morning to stop by, and I think we actually r might have rode together that day. And I told him, you know, I'm just not sleeping good, man, I'm okay. Just not sleeping good, and then it finally came out, you know, why I wasn't sleeping good. End up running into him again at the same store to get steaks. And he said, Hey man, you look tired. Like, are you are you okay? And he said, Hey man, it's it's okay not be okay, but it's not okay to hold it in. And you know, so I just kinda shrugged that one off, you know, and I went in the store and got me some New York strips and come back out. And he said, Alright man, well I'm fixing to go. And like it hit me like a ton of bricks, like now's the time to say something. And I told him and I just broke down. I said, I'm not okay, I'm not good. Like I was to the point where I wanted to stick a pistol in my mouth. I never told my wife that. I think you're the only person that I've ever told that. But I was ready to call it quits.
SPEAKER_02What all were you feeling at that point before you spoke to that asked for help? Can you tell the listeners like what dark side that you were feeling?
SPEAKER_00I felt like I was unworthy. Just unworthy. I I I wasn't supposed to be here. I was in the wrong spot. You you're not good enough to be here. And you know, the the devil tried to beat me down with that same dream over and over and over again. And and tried to wear me down. And anybody knows when you get tired, you don't think like you normally would.
SPEAKER_02No. And without sleep too, you don't make good decisions.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely not. And and you know, the the mind is the devil's playground. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So you reached out for help, man. I just wanted I just wanted the listeners to know and understand the you know the darkness that that creeps in your mind and just can build if you allow it to. And and I'm just thankful. I'm thankful because I was in the same situation. Not trying to take away from anything, but just I understand that that darkness that you're in, and to reach out for help, it takes a lot. It takes a lot. And I'm so thankful you did. So yeah, let's just pick up there, man.
SPEAKER_00And yeah, so um, you know, Ryan said he didn't know who to call, but he knew a fella. And that's when that's when I met you, Duane. That day, you know, I just needed reminding. And that's one of those things that, you know, iron sharpens iron. Because I I got deep into my faith in 2005. Um I told you a little bit of that story. That's that's another podcast.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_00But and and I was I was in church. I mean, I wasn't in church like I was supposed to be. I I wasn't following Jesus like I was supposed to be. Because we all know going to church and checking the box i is not a relationship. But yeah, to uh it puts stuff into perspective, some of the questions you ask me. And you know, just getting it off my chest and telling somebody because if you hold it in the devil's winning. Getting it off my chest was huge that day. Cause I'm not sure I'd ever told anybody the full story. And just to speak it, just let the devil know that he didn't have power over it anymore.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00But then the next day I got to watch my nine-year-old niece get baptized, and I was sitting there watching her, and you know, the the preacher asked her some questions. Are you ready to follow Jesus? Are you ready to put your trust and faith in Jesus and follow him? And a nine-year-old little girl said, Absolutely I do. I would love to do that. And that just kind of I mean, you know, the Bible says he uses all kinds of creatures to talk. You know, in the Old Testament he used bushes, he used donkeys, he used people, and he's still using people today. And that day he said, Just put your trust and faith in me like a nine-year-old little girl is, and everything will be okay. And I sat there in that pew with my wife by my side, and I cried my eyes out, and I prayed for God to take that from me. And I've never had a bad dream since that day.
SPEAKER_02Come on.
SPEAKER_00But I mentioned Jeff Miller to tell y'all this. I met the man four years ago. Now my wife plays on his softball team. And this year we had to go to Hawaii, and I had been dreading this trip. I didn't want to get in the water. I didn't want to be in the water, I didn't want to be around the water. I would get in the swimming pool. And you know, we went on a cruise. But whenever we would get in the water, I wouldn't get in it if it had waves. But we went to Hawaii. I had this peace come over me. And I had no worries. The second day we were there, Miller comes and gets me and says, hey guys, we're going to the we're going to the beach. So we go to the beach. And my wife knew exactly what was fixed to happen. Because she knows I don't hide anything from my wife. We we have a great relationship. She is she's amazing. She is amazing. I tell her everything. So she knows, and so she just sat there as I walked in the water with Miller because I'd met the man four years ago from the day that it happened. And to walk out in that water, and he looked at me and we walked all the way out, and they had these barricades, and we walked all the way out to the barricades, to where the waves were, and I stood out there, and I just held my hands up, just letting those waves beat on me. Just letting those waves hit me. And he said, Man, are you good? I said, Bro, I've never been better. And then I got to tell Miller my story from four years ago from the first day we met. And that's why I mentioned Miller. And so I got to share some of that weekend with the ball team with some of the ladies, you know, and just being obedient. God puts people in your life. Looking back now, I know why I was supposed to be in Florida. I know I know why he sent me down there. It's you know, it's a powerful thing to watch the way God puts people in your life.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00Just like just like the way he's put you in my life, Dwayne. It's it's God. You know, he put Miller there and him and his wife are they believe they're they're followers of Jesus. They pray before every game. It's just it's uh the the name of their team's highly favored. It's just love it's just an absolutely great group of women. And to know even though we go play softball, we're still gonna hear the word. But but back back to obedience and putting people in my life. He's put you in my life. I've met you for a reason.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. I agree one hundred percent, brother. He's called us to do some big things together. That's for sure.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. It's you know, and for four years I struggled because I had not straight away, but I had maybe fell off the path a little bit, and I let the devil in. And the reason that I went out in that water and held my hands up and let those waves beat over me is just to show the devil he didn't have that power anymore. And I use this analogy a lot. Jesus was asleep on the boat because he was tired from preaching. He had been teaching all day, and he was tired and he wanted to rest. That big storm came up, everybody. You know, everybody gets hauled and out of shape because there's a little storm. Jesus is always right here, and we're worried about a couple little waves. And you know, he he called Peter to walk out on that water, and Peter started looking at those waves and let those waves bother him. And I just had to show my Jesus that those waves ain't gonna bother me no more. That's not gonna determine who I am, and that's not gonna determine my identity any longer. And I'm gonna tell you what, bro, that that day right there, it was so relieving because now I get to go vacation with my family again. But if I had to go through it all over again, I would just to go through this journey. Because this journey is something that he's put me on, and as long as his hand's on it, I'm okay because the devil has no power.
SPEAKER_02None. None, man. And then man, that's an amazing, it's an absolutely amazing testimony. And uh, I just want to touch real quick because I got I got a couple questions I want to ask you. Looking back when you were in the water and both the kids were were there, and and you just got beat down. You saw the the boogie board come to you, you caught that wave. We all know when you roll in it and you come up and it's coming right at you. Looking back, what it would what do you see there?
SPEAKER_00I know some people are gonna not gonna it was like the hand of God that reached out and just gave me a boogie board. And you know, I've seen God's power up close and personal. And then, you know, I told you the story of me going in the water in in Hawaii, but not only that, we got over there and I got to see something that not most people get to see. I got to see a vul active volcano actually erupting. If y'all check my Facebook, it's John Anthony Eubanks and that's not AI, those those are real pictures and videos. But I stood in front of that as it was going off and we were a mile away. But it was like standing next to a campfire, you know, the stuff shooting thirteen hundred feet in the air.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But just to stand there and feel the power of his creations because like the whole ground like I'm a mile away from this thing and the whole ground shaking. And just just to stand there and feel God's power, just that up close. It's and how people cannot believe there's a God is just it's unreal to me. Because I've I've I've felt the hand of God touch me more than one time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. That's amazing, man. That's amazing. So for four years, man, you struggled. You struggled. And uh you told us about that. And as a as a man of a household married with kids, that brought struggle into the family too. And when you ask God, I mean, how how how has it been since you turned it over to God? Not only the restoration of you, but your family.
SPEAKER_00People need to both my kid, both my kids have accepted Christ. Who and last Wednesday, not not yesterday, but the um the 24th of June, I got to baptize my daughter.
SPEAKER_01Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_00And just to know that my kids are gonna be with me one day, man, there's there's not a greater feeling in the world at all. Because I know no matter what happens down here, I'll have a life of eternity with my God. Amen. And my kids and my wife will be there with me. And and you know, I don't speak about how amazing my wife is because she's she knows my past and she overlooked it. She dealt with me through this, and I know it wasn't hard, or I know it wasn't easy. It was a it was a hard time on her because I wasn't the most pleasant person for those four years. But she never gave up on me. She is she is something special, I tell you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's amazing what God can do, man. Just use you and restore you, your family, and everything, man. That's just absolutely amazing. Such a powerful man, I'm telling you, I got goosebumps, geese bumps. Geese bumps, more than one. Oh, right. We got more than one. Come on. So uh man, it's just amazing how God can restore families and people. It's just absolutely amazing. And that's what I want to talk about. Well, before I get there, let's let's get to what is your favorite verse and why?
SPEAKER_00I've got two of them.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00Second Corinthians 5 17. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away, all things become new. And that was the that was the Bible verse at the Timothy house.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00In Talk and Rock. And that's their motto. You're you're not the same person anymore if you walk with Christ. Throw them old things away, you know, r repent and turn away from it. It just it that one means so much to me because it it it says I'm not who I used to be anymore. My my identity now is in Christ. It's not the old it's not the old person. I'm identified by Christ now. And then my second one is Psalm 66, 16. For all you who fear the Lord, let me tell you what he's done for my soul. And you know, the the the the fear that I'm talking about is not being scared of someone. It's it's you know, it's like, oh, I'm scared of the boogeyman, you know, I'm afraid of the boogeyman. That's not what I'm talking about. It's like police officers, you know. We know they're there to help. We we we know they're there to protect and serve. But when you're speeding and you see one, you fear that ticket, so you tap them brakes.
SPEAKER_02Usually it's too late.
SPEAKER_00Right. And and and you know, that's how I have to explain it sometimes to people. That's that's the fear. You know, they're there to protect you, they're there to serve you, they're there to help you. But you better watch that speed limit. You better watch and and and and you and you fear that, but my God is is awesome. My God is merciful, and my God is gracious, and my God can restore relationships, he can restore your life, and and he can cure your addiction.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Sure can. He sure can. All right, what does it mean to be a faithful warrior to you?
SPEAKER_00To walk with a purpose. I like that.
SPEAKER_02I like that. All right, and we're wrapping up. I got two last questions for us, and I know this is probably gonna get a little bit deep, but I wanted to talk about that obedience first. We talked about obedience, and and I want you to kind of like I'm I'm gonna go through the whole thing and I want you to kind of just touch on it because your obedience to follow God to call you to go to Punta Cola. Not even knowing, not even really knowing, but going. Your obedience to say, Yep, I need to ask for help. And then I want to put into the part of crawl daddy, your buddy, which is our buddy, to his obedience to ask you that, to check on you, and then him reaching out to me. And just coming in at just listening to your testimony and just asking you a few questions. It was simple as that, that changed everything. It's those little acts of obedience, because that's it. So what is your take on anybody that's like just wondering about how small or how big obedience has to be?
SPEAKER_00You know, so it it doesn't matter where you're at. It doesn't matter if you think it doesn't matter how deep you think you are. Um a mustard seed is the smallest seed in the world, and that's all the faith you need. If if if you'll give God just it's it's so small I could put it in my fingers right here, and you wouldn't be able to see it. God just says, give him that much faith, and he can move a mountain. Now, whether that that mountain is, you know, bad dreams, you you don't want to be here anymore, your relationship's failed, your marriage is failing, you've got an addiction, it doesn't matter. God can move that mountain with that much faith. Come on. Yes. And the closer you walk, the bigger that faith can grow, the stronger that faith can grow. He don't he don't he don't want you to he don't want you to come cleaned up. He don't want you to look like a Ferrari. Like he wants you to come just the way you are bent, broken, beat up. That's how he wants you. Because he'll polish you up and shine you the way he sees fit. He just wants you to have a little bit of faith.
SPEAKER_02Amen. Amen. Well, I'm gonna ask you this last question. It's always near and dear to my heart. You talked about it, you battled through the same thing, and I just learned a guy that I knew but for the last year just ended up taking his own life. And for the people out there that are listening, that are struggling right now, that are about battling whether to be here or not, that have no hope, that are battling not worthy than this, what can you what would you say to them right now to give them some hope?
SPEAKER_00You are worthy. You are loved, and I care. Jesus loves you. Don't put your faith in man, put your faith in God. I I can't save you myself, but I can tell you about my Jesus.
SPEAKER_02Amen. Amen. And if you are that person, man, just reach out. Just reach out. You can reach out to Faithful Warrior Podcast. You he's already, John's already giving you his Facebook. Reach out to him. We're here to help you. You do not have to walk through this alone. You do not have to walk through it alone. It's okay not to be okay. Just like he said. So, man, what a what a powerful show this has been, man. And I can't thank you enough for being on here, man. What a great topic and for people to listen and and apply it to their life. So in closing, you got anything last you would like to say?
SPEAKER_00I just, man, I love you, Dwayne, and I appreciate you. You know, I I've said it before, God's put me on a journey, and I'm excited to say I'm scared, but if it's comfortable, it's probably not gonna be him.
SPEAKER_02That's right. That's right. He calls us to be uncomfortable, buddy. Yes, he does a lot more than we like to be, but you know, he always shows, he always shows his mercy and grace. Always does.
SPEAKER_00Yes. And you know, if if you're struggling, reach out to somebody. Somebody cares. Most definitely. Don't sit there alone. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Isolation is not the answer, trust me. Isolation cannot. You gotta have some community. So all right, man, as we close, man, remember this being a faithful warrior is not about being the strongest person in the room. It's about it's not about having it all together. It's about remaining faithful to Jesus, no matter what battle you face. If you're walking through a difficult season today, don't quit. Keep trusting, keep praying, keep moving forward. God is not finished with your story. Until next time. Stay faithful. Keep your eyes on Christ and remember the battle is real, but so is the God who walks with you through it.
